Day 1:

On the ship Bella Desgagnés, leaving the village of Kegaska every Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. from May 15 to September 15, 2019, in the direction of La Romaine (Unamen Shipu). Length of the cruise: 4 hours 30 minutes. Welcome at the dock by the Innu host with transportation to the Madame Ruby motel for 3 nights.

Day 2:

Guided tour of the community with your Innu guide by vehicle. In the morning, tour of the reserve, including the band council, church, hospital, airport, school and residential neighborhoods. Lunch at the hotel restaurant. In the afternoon, meeting with 2 Innu craftswomen. Free time. Traditional dinner in an Innu tent.

Day 3: 

Explore the seacoast and the string of Islands aboard our comfortable zodiac. Unamen Shipu fishes for lobsters the traditional way. Enjoy traditional knowledge and skill and a lobster meal in an Innu tent. The maritime odyssey will allow you to experience the islands’ rich flora and fauna thanks to the help of a professional Innu guide.

Day 4:

The departure for the cruise back to Kegaska is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. Take advantage of the day to walk along the sea or participate in another Innu cultural activity based on your interests and the weather.

Includes:
-The passage (without cabin) return on the Bella-Desgagnés
-Return transfers from the dock to the hotel or cabin
-Accommodation for 1 night at Madame Ruby hotel in La Romaine double occupancy or Innuberge cottage on the seaside and 2 nights in Innu traditional tent including sleeping bags and hostel sheet
-8 meals (3 meals Day 2, 3 meals Day 3, 2 meals Day 4)
-The guided tour in the community aboard a vehicle
-The services of an Innu professional guide for the duration of the stay as well as the Innu cook-artisan
-Excursion in zodiac with certified guide
-The demonstration of traditional fishing (in season, otherwise picking wild berries)

Season: departure every Wednesday from June 13 to September 15 2019. Lobster season: May 15 to July 15. Between July 16 and September 15: the lobster fishing demonstration is replaced by picking berries on the islands.
